Mamma Mia!

The beautiful movie of Mamma Mia is set in the Greek islands. Donna, an independent hotelier is preparing her daughters wedding with the help of two old friends. Meanwhile Sophie, 20 year old bride-to-be,  finds her mother's old diary and secretly invites three men from her mother's past in hope of meeting her real father and having him walk her down the isle on her big day. Not only is the movie fun and enjoyable but it is filled with all of the popular Abba songs including "Dancing Queen", "Money, Money, Money" and "Super Trouper" sung by the superb cast. The cast includes the very talented Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth.

The movie was released in the summer of 2008 and it had a budget of 52 million dollars. Most of the outdoor scenes were filmed on the beautiful Greek island of Skopelos. All of the beach scenes including Tanya singing Does Your Mother Know and when Sophie and Sky sing Lay All Your Love On Me are filmed on the gorgeous beach of Kastani. This beach was the perfect choice of set, as the clear blue waters and white sand make you feel like you are in paradise! This beach has attracted swarms of tourists who love the movie.

Mamma Mia has made it on to my list because I love the light and fun plot and the music is so catchy that I sing along to every song!
